The pushbike ride behind us, we were delighted to reach the hoped for destination of handing over a new BMW 1200 motorbike to Bloodbikes on Thursday 1st July at all Hallows school. All Hallows raised a huge amount for bloodbikes through sponsored walks, cycle rides, household tasks etc. The children entered a competition to name the motorbike and the winning entry was “the flying crane” reflecting the school’s symbol.
Many many thanks to all who have donated to this cause, and to all of the riders who joined us on the cycle ride, but most of all to those who voluntarily staff Bloodbikes!

You may be interested that in the bike’s first week of duty, it has done 880 miles and has made 21 deliveries, including an emergency run using blue lights and sirens carrying blood samples from the RUH in Bath to the BRI in Bristol on Tuesday night.
I don’t think we can say thankyou enough times to the pair of you, to all your sponsors and to the pupils, parents and staff at All Hallows.
best wishes,
Mike
